Individuals conducting research in universities and colleges and/or professional settings (e.g., libraries; hospitals; government agencies) are encouraged to attend. TQ allows participants to engage with experts in qualitative inquiry and learn about specific methods, techniques, and approaches to qualitative research.

The academic program consists of five days of hands-on workshops.

Advances in Qualitative Methods (AQM) Conference

Contemporary, societal, and organizational issues are complex and practitioners and policy-makers are seeking strong evidence upon which to base decisions. Qualitative research is increasingly used to understand or address specific issues or problems in relation to practice, policy, or outcomes. While qualitative studies are necessary and important in applied social research, many issues arise in their enactment. AQM is the premier interdisciplinary forum for innovation exchange in Qualitative Methods, and will highlight innovations in Applied Qualitative Research.
