Engineering Research Crawl

Ever wonder what kind of cool research is happening in those tall Engineering buildings?  Or how engineering research connects with other disciplines on campus?  Join us for the Engineering Research Crawl for a guided tour to a variety of engineering & related research facilities!  This is your chance to go behind-the-scenes and discover how YOU can get involved.

This event is open to undergraduate students in all years and all disciplines.  Lunch will be provided.

URI Stipend

Deadline to Apply: October 26, 2015

The URI is accepting applications for the Undergraduate Researcher Stipend for projects beginning in Winter 2016.  The URI Stipend provides $5000 to support undergraduate students engaging in mentored, interdisciplinary research and creative activities.  Students in any year and any discipline (including international students) are eligible to apply.

Also new this fall – students undertaking campus sustainability-related projects may apply for funding through the new Learning Experiences through Applied Projects (LEAP) Living Lab program offered by the Office of Sustainability and Facilities & Operations.

How to apply:

Students can apply to the URI Stipend and the LEAP program through the same application form.  All applications will be reviewed for eligibility and adjudicated according to the URI Stipend criteria (details here).  LEAP applications will be further adjudicated based on specific LEAP Living Lab criteria (details here).
