The Start-up Grant is a one-year program that provides seed funding from the CIHR Institute of Health Services and Policy Research (CIHR-IHSPR) to catalyze a new era of impact-oriented, experiential (“hands on”) training for individuals with a PhD in HSPR or a related field with the goal of supporting stronger career readiness and enhanced health system impact. The Start-up Grant is the first of three inter-related components of a multi-year HSPR training modernization initiative that stems from the Canadian Health Services and Policy Research Alliance’s (CHSPRA’s) Training Modernization Strategy.
