SSHRC UofA IDG Boot Camp Registration open!
Registration Deadline: September 30, 2016
Information: The Grant Assist Program is again facilitating a ‘Boot Camp’ for faculty members writing a SSHRC Insight Development Grant application for the Feb 2017 competition. If you are planning to apply for a SSHRC Insight Development Grant and would like support for the process, the IDG Boot Camp is for you. This facilitated writing group will get you started early, help you work through the IDG proposal in step-by-step fashion, and keep you writing at a steady pace. You should have a good rough draft of your proposal by the time you need to submit your Request for Peer Review.
The Boot Camp will run from 1:30 to 4:30, Oct 7, 14, 21, 28 and Nov 4 (Yes, Friday afternoons was the most popular choice in polling).

Registration closes Sept 30. If you have already received confirmation of enrollment (notice of receipt of deposit), you do not need to re-register.

Information: This is the 30th Margaret Scott Wright Research and Innovation Day . Unique for this year’s event is the joining of the Margaret Scott Wright Research and Innovation Day with the Canadian Nursing Students’ Association Western/Prairie Regional Conference for an exciting three day conference, proudly presented by the University of Alberta, MacEwan University, Alberta Health Services, and the Canadian Nursing Students’ Association.

Information: Are you a member of the research community looking for funding for your research? If so, the first ever Research Funding Fair is for you. Research Services Office and the Faculty of Physical Education and Recreation are partnering to provide our University of Alberta research community with opportunities to meet funders and learn what funding programs they have that are applicable to you.

The EFF for the Advancement of Scholarship is intended to enhance student experiences through engagement in research, facilitate the integration of teaching and research, and promote research and scholarly activity.
