International Nursing Scholar Series 

Information: To provide funds to two Area of Excellence groups in the Faculty of Nursing to engage an internationally renowned scholar in nursing or health to foster scholarship, engagement, and mentorship within key communities in and across the Faculty of Nursing.

Value of Award: The Faculty of Nursing will provide two AoE groups with funds up to $5000.

Faculty of Nursing Postdoctoral Fellowship

Information: The Faculty of Nursing Postdoctoral Fellowship is intended to provide support to exceptional researchers pursuing post-graduate nursing research at the Faculty of Nursing, University of Alberta whose work advances the strategic priority areas of the Faculty of Nursing.

Value of Award: The amount for the fellowship is $75,000, tenable at the University of Alberta only. It has a term of 1-year and is intended for recent PhD graduates (within 5-years).For more information, please review the guidelines  and application form

Faculty of Nursing Undergraduate Student Summer Research Award & SSHRC Summer Award

Information: The Faculty of Nursing offers a summer research program for undergraduate nursing students to provide them with an opportunity to experience the research environment first-hand. Students will be involved in an on-going research project under the supervision of a tenure track faculty member.

CIHR- Operating Grant: Modelling knowledge on population health New!

Information: This call for proposals seeks to address the health of Francophones outside of Quebec from the perspective of population health and community health. Population health is particularly concerned with the complex physical, social, cultural, political, economic and legal interactions that affect the health of Francophones and their communities. CIHR-Training Grant : Indigenous Mentorship Network Program New!

Information: The Institute of Aboriginal Peoples’ Health (IAPH) is looking to support innovative mentoring proposals from researchers and leaders with a distinguished track record in successfully mentoring First Nations, Inuit and Métis trainees and New Investigators, and experience in community-based research. The participation of international Indigenous scholars and mentors in the Indigenous Mentorship Network Program (IMNP) is encouraged. For more information click here

Information: WCB-Alberta promotes injury prevention and encourages the development of effective disability management services and strategies. PCORI: Register for Applicant Training

Information: PCORI is  debuting a new version of PCORI Online to enhance your experience throughout the Letter of Intent (LOI) and Application submission process.To get acclimated, all PCORI applicants should attend one  90-minute training sessions which will prepare applicants to transition to their new platform. Register here

Using Researcher Home Page and eTRAC

Information: The Research Services Office will be providing training in the computer lab in Room L-270 ECHA Choose the date and time that is most convenient for you. Before you register please confirm that your CCID and password are active and that when you log in you can actually see a Project on your Researcher Home Page. If there is nothing to see on your Researcher Home Page this will not be of much use to you.
