Funding Opportunities- External


CIHR Project Grant (Internal Deadlines set)

Information: It supports projects with a specific purpose and a defined endpoint. The best ideas may stem from new, incremental, innovative, and/or high-risk lines of inquiry or knowledge translation approaches. For more information click here

Registration Deadline: Between May 8-30, 2017

Application Deadline: June 13, 2017

Internal Deadlines: RSO has set the institution deadline of Noon, June 05, 2017. Please note: Nursing Research office deadline to submit the application for Dean’s signatures is June 01, 2017


Mitacs Globalink Research Internship

Information: The Mitacs Globalink Research Internship (GRI) is now accepting faculty submissions for Summer 2018. GRI pairs faculty in Canada with international undergrads for 12-week research projects from May to September.

  • All disciplines are eligible
  • Top-ranked senior undergrads travel from Australia, Brazil, China, France, Germany, India, Mexico, Tunisia, and Saudi Arabia
  • Faculty can submit multiple projects and re-submit projects from previous years

Submit projects by June 14, 2017, at 5 p.m. PDT.


WCHRI- Clinical/ Community Research Integration Support Program (CRISP) New!

Information: The goal of the Clinical/Community Research Integration Support Program (CRISP) is to fund high impact clinical and/or community research that has the potential to improve health outcomes and/or influence clinical practice at the point of care for women and/or children. Marie Sklodowska -Curie Individual Fellowships (EUROPE) New!

Information: The goal of the Individual Fellowships is to enhance the creative and innovative potential of experienced researchers, wishing to diversify their individual competence in terms of skill acquisition through advanced training, international and intersectoral mobility.
