SSHRC- New Partnership Engage Grants New!

Information: To better address the short-term needs of researchers and institutions, SSHRC is launching a Partnership Engage Grant in June 2017. Valued between $7,000 and $25,000, this grant will require only one partner and will be available four times a year.

Banting Postdoctoral Fellowships Program New!

Information: The Banting Postdoctoral Fellowships Program is distinguished from existing postdoctoral fellowships programs by its emphasis on the synergy between an applicant’s individual merit and potential to launch a successful research-intensive career and the host institution’s commitment to the research program and environment with which the applicant is to be affiliated. As such, an applicant’s application to the Banting Postdoctoral Fellowships Program must be completed in full collaboration with the proposed host institution. Important Announcements!


This year’s Research Administration Day program is now available and registrations are open.
The RSO offers continuing education and professional development seminars for U of A staff.  RAD is an annual event that provides practical presentations and interactive workshops focused on the complexity, diversity and accountability of administrative responsibilities for research funding.  The purpose of RAD is to promote and support excellence in research administration.  It is designed for those who are involved with research administration and management at the Faculty, department and project level.
This year’s program has been informed by the recent Tri-Agency monitoring visit that was completed in April 2017.  Please go to RAD website to see the program.
