Funding Opportunities

University of Alberta Research Experience

The UARE (University of Alberta Research Experience) program brings students from select partner institutions here to work full-time (up to 35 hours per week) with our faculty members on research projects for a period of 12 weeks, normally beginning on or around January 2 for the winter cohort.

Each intern received $6,000; $4,000 is provided by U of A International (UAI), and the other $2,000 is to be provided by the host supervisor.

UAI is responsible for providing all administrative support (immigration, accommodation, payroll, registration, etc). We also provide weekly social programming events in and around Edmonton, and interns have the opportunity to come to the Rocky Mountains at least once while they are here.

If you have any questions about the program at all, please email me back or give me a call.
